Description
Looking to grow their user base and refresh an over 10-year-old product, the client looked to our team for a solution. As a small business tool, this product needed to be understood by a user base that can vary wildly. Through a considered discovery and design process we mapped, designed, and interviewed our way to an elegant solution.
Phases & Methods
Discovery: Stakeholder interviews, User interviews, Desk Research, Competitive Analysis
Analysis: Architecture, Journey mapping, Site mapping
Design: UI Design, Design System, Iterative design
Validation: User Testing, Analysis and reporting
Project impact: Enhancing efficiency and user experience
The project led to notable enhancements in efficiency, site mapping, and architectural structure, coupled with a visually appealing modern design. Toward the project's conclusion, we executed 5 user interviews which successfully validated the pivotal business drivers underpinning the solution.
Where the project started
The original product needed an upgrade. While some features were functional, others weren’t and the task flows were choppy and lacking in proper UX writing.
This all culminated in low user engagement.
A business led user-centric refresh
After interviewing stakeholders, reviewing their documentation, and gaining an understanding of their users, we were empowered with the information to transform this product.
Site mapping exercise to gain an understanding of the general organization of the app
